Caribbean Fun in the Sun - Sosua & Cabarete Beach are Exceptional Locations
The most expansive coastlines in the Caribbean, with more than 800 miles of diverse ecological environments ranging from desert to tropical rainforest, make the Dominican Republic a fantastic setting for boating. The many gentle stretches of beach, strong surf, and powerful winds offer many ideal locations for water sports like windsurfing, boogie boarding, and kiteboarding. Incredibly clear waters and a variety of colorful marine life also make it a favorite for snorkeling enthusiasts and scuba divers.
The Dominican Republic is an exceptional destination for fishing and golf as well. Golfers will enjoy playing on world-class courses favored by former Presidents Bill Clinton and George H. Bush as well as other luminaries. Fisherman recognize the Dominican Republic as one of the best hideouts for dozens of species of prized fish It is the home of several international billfish tournaments each year, including ESPN's Billfish Xtreme Tournament at Punta Cana Resort & Club.

former Presidents Bill Clinton and
George H. Bush, the Dominican Republic has become one of the hottest spots to tee-off in the Caribbean, if not the world. Here golfers will find 19 courses with oceanfront fairways and dogleg
lefts around swaying coconut palms.
They'll also find courses designed by legends such as Pete Dye, P.B.

courses are scheduled to open throughout 2008 and 2009. Visitors
to the Dominican Republic needn't
worry about packing golf clubs or
even knowing how to golf, for that matter. Each course offers affordable
club rentals and internationally recognized golf pros for lessons.
